Just like many of Nova Basement Systems customers, this homeowner would experience seepage during heavy rains. The moisture would bring that dreaded "wet basement smell". She was tired of vacuuming water and gave us a call to see what options she had for waterproofing repairs.
Our System Design Specialist, Chris Young, came out to her property for a complimentary estimate. He found that installing a perimeter system of WaterGuard®, accompanied by a SuperSump®, and an UnderGround Downspout with an IceGuard was the appropriate fix for her home.
Foremen Joe Nichols and Ignacio Reyes, teamed up with crewmen Brian, Kenny, Spencer, John and Nathan to dry up this basement. In just two days they completed their interior install, leaving the basement ready for any heavy rain.
Some older homes can be trickier to waterproof because the foundation can be uneven. The perfect fix for this situation, is to add a wall flashing that can direct any water straight into our perimeter system. CleanSpace was added to this basement wall and channels the water into a DryTrak solution.
This New Carlisle, Indiana resident had us out to diagnose why he was getting a few areas of seepage in his basement. Chris Young found that water was making its way through the cove joint, where the wall and floor connect, in his basement. He created a solution of a WaterGuard perimeter that would drain into an UltraSump pump and discharge into an underground downspout away from his foundation.
Nova Basement Systems installed an above-the-floor drainage solution called DryTrak, in this New Carlisle home.
