Fortress Carbon Fiber Straps
To reinforce the movement of existing foundation walls, we used a multi-stage process to install carbon fiber stabilization straps: After measuring the distance between straps to optimize effectiveness, the crew ground the wall surfaces where straps are installed to prep for an initial epoxy layer. Fortress straps are then adhered to the epoxy layer, secured to the floor/footing with shear pins, and attached at the top to the rim joists (where applicable). The final stage of the process is applying an additional epoxy layer over the straps for additional reinforcement.
