Drain Tile and Encapsulation
To begin to combat the water and mold issues in this crawlspace, we sprayed Mold-X, mold neutralizer on all the organic materials in the crawlspace. We then dug around the perimeter of the crawlspace to install drainage stone with 4 inch drain tile and dug down to set the basin for our Supersump system. The pump was tied into the existing plumbing which runs to the north west corner. We then attached an Iceguard on the exterior and then buried a 4 inch drain tile to run 15 feet to the north west where it terminates inside a drywell box with drainage stone. For encapsulation, we sealed the crawlspace vents from the interior with foam board and then installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier across the floor and up the walls. Vapor barrier was mechanically fastened to the wall and the seams taped.
