CleanSpace Encapsulation (Before)
The DryTrak solution is designed to control perimeter water from the cove joint and redirect that water to a sump pit. We laid out the DryTrak system and permanently epoxied the DryTrak to the floor. We then broke out the concrete perimeter, dug a hole and removed the soil and related debris, and set the sump system. We backfilled the pit with stone, installed the sump pump, and plumbed the system. To help manage moisture and humidity, we installed a CleanSpace Encapsulation System over exterior walls, across the floor, and around any the existing pilasters. The Encapsulation system is buttoned along the walls, with all seams on the walls and floor overlapped, sealed with urethaned, and secured with industrial tape. To help balance the humidity in the crawlspace, we setup and installed an Energy-Star rated Aprilaire E100 dehumidification system. To help route water away from the structure, we removed a layer of top soil along the agreed-upon trench path and dug a trench. We then installed four-inch, solid drain tile in the trench and connected it to the agreed upon termination point. From there, we backfilled the trench with dirt and replaced top soil.
