WaterGuard Perimeter
In order to waterproof the basement on the west side of the of the home, We installed a WaterGuard system. We broke out the designated area, a total of 39 feet (26 feet along the west wall, 6 feet along the north wall, and 6 feet along the south wall). From there, removed all concrete debris, cleaned the trench, installed filter cloth, drilled weep holes in the block, and installed the WaterGuard System. Lastly, we re-mortared the floor back. We also added a couple of clean out ports for maintenance in the future if needed. The WaterGuard system drains into the existing sump pump system next to the dryer. From there, we added an IceGuard for protection on the discharge line. We then then buried the discharge line in a 4 inch solid tile going out towards the front of the home approximately 46 feet. The discharge line will terminates into a drywell. In addition, we tied in the downspout on the back corner to help move water away from the foundation.
