WaterGuard (Before)
The WaterGuard solution is designed to control perimeter water from the cove joint, and redirect that water to a sump pit. We broke out the concrete around the perimeter of the foundation, and set and installed a sump pump. Then we re-concreted over those areas. Then we plumbed the sump pump to an IceGuard, that transitions plumbing from 1 1/2" plumbing to a 4" discharge line. To avoid water from backing up into the interior system, the slots in the IceGuard allow water to escape if the 4" discharge line were to completely freeze. To finish off the walls, and to also flash water from the foundation walls to our system, we installed EmeShield.
